Base Paints (Primers)

We have two base paints or primers with two different textures: a smooth primer (Base) and a sandy textured primer (Base Plus).

Both primers are made from natural, eco-friendly materials and are specially designed to be used under lime-based paints and coatings. They can be used both indoors and outdoors. They are excellent for getting surfaces ready before painting, helping the top coat stick better and go on more evenly. Their pH is around 12, which is normal for lime-based products.

The smooth primer looks like a semi-creamy, white paint with a bit of texture when applied. The textured primer has a slightly rough, grainy texture that helps hold the paint in place, especially on surfaces that have been filled or joined together.

They are breathable, which means they let moisture pass through instead of trapping it inside the wall. This helps keeping the walls dry and healthy over time, especially in older buildings or where air flow is important. They work well on many surfaces such as brick, stone, plaster, plasterboard, fibre-reinforced gypsum board making it a flexible choice for different projects.

They are a great natural primer choices that support healthy walls and strong, long-lasting paint jobs.
