How To Make a Venetian Pastellone Hard Lime Floor Finish?

Pastellone is an ancient Venetian floor type. It consists of slaked lime, pozzolana and cocciopesto powder obtained from crushed tiles and bricks that increases the mechanical strength. The mixture develops a chemical reaction that gives the plaster hydraulicity (ability to mature even in contact with water) and high mechanical strength. The use of natural materials makes the floor breathable. The floor remains very elastic and can be applied even on wooden beams, without cracks. The colour is ivory or light pink. Lime Pastellone floors are used in green buildings and are compatible with radiant heating. It can be used in a variety of flooring areas, including bathrooms, kitchens, stairs, hallways, bedrooms, and even shower walls and saunas.
